Guide & Codex

A plain-language guide to every report and the words it uses — no background needed. Each term below is tap-to-open: tap it to unfold every one of its categories, each with a simple picture.

New: in the report itself, every astrological term is hover-to-explain — rest on a word (or tap it on a phone) and a plain-language note appears. This Guide is the fuller reference.

What a synastry actually is

Synastry is the chemistry between two people’s charts. Picture two pieces of music played together — this report listens for where the melodies harmonize, where they clash, and where they make something neither could alone. It does this through three instruments: Vedic astrology (Jyotiṣa), Human Design, and Gene Keys. None is the truth; each is a different mirror.

How every report is laid out

I. Orientation — the whole relationship in one breath, and how to read what follows.

II. The Two Charts at a Glance — the raw “ingredients” of both people, side by side.

III. Jyotiṣa Synastry — the Vedic read: the Moons, the eight-part score, and how the years unfold.

IV. Human Design — the “wiring diagram” of the bond: what connects, what stays open.

V. Gene Keys — the heart’s journey: the shadows you cross to reach each other’s gifts.

VI. Western Astrology — the tropical read: the Suns/Moons/Ascendants as outer weather, cross-chart aspects, and whose planets land in whose houses.

VII. Chinese BaZi — the Four Pillars: each Day Master (self-element) and how your five elements feed or check each other.

VIII. Galactic Astrology — your connection to the fixed stars and deep-space points, and the stars you share.

IX. Cross-System Convergences — the moments where all three instruments play the same note.

X. Living Field Map & Guidance — gifts to cultivate, shadows to watch, and the weather ahead.

The compatibility score (Aṣṭakūṭa) — the eight measures

The headline number — like 33/36 — scores the bond across eight categories out of 36. 18 is the traditional “go-ahead” line; 32+ is rare and excellent. Tap each measure to see all of its types:

Varṇa (1) — who naturally leads, who flows

Each Moon falls into one of four working-temperaments — not caste, but the grain of the mind.

Brāhmaṇa — the priest-mind: meaning, study, the inner life. Leads through wisdom and quiet authority.

Kṣatriya — the warrior-mind: will, protection, action. Leads through courage and command.

Vaiśya — the merchant-mind: exchange, nurture, practical building. Leads through resourcefulness.

Śūdra — the artisan-mind: service, craft, devotion through the hands. Leads through steady doing.

Vaśya (2) — magnetism, who draws whom

Each sign belongs to an animal-class; this asks how strongly, and in which direction, you pull each other in.

Catuṣpada (quadruped) — earthy, steady, body-led — the grazing animals; drawn to comfort and the tangible.

Mānava (human) — social, reasoning, fair — moved by relationship and agreement.

Jalachara (watery) — fluid, sensitive, deep-feeling — the sea-creatures; magnetic and hard to pin down.

Vanachara (wild) — free, untamed, sovereign — the forest beasts; cannot be owned, only met.

Kīṭa (insect) — small, intense, transformative — the hidden, persistent forces that reshape from within.

Tārā (3) — star-luck between your Moons

Count from one birth-star to the other; the landing-number is an omen, checked in both directions.

1 · Janma (birth) — the star itself — vulnerable, raw, where you began.

2 · Sampat (wealth) — fortune and ease — things ripen and gather.

3 · Vipat (danger) — friction and loss — handle with care.

4 · Kṣema (well-being) — safety and support — a sheltering harbour.

5 · Pratyak (obstacle) — resistance and delay — the headwind.

6 · Sādhaka (achievement) — the workshop of accomplishment — effort pays.

7 · Naidhana/Vadha (death) — the heaviest crossing — endings and depth.

8 · Mitra (friend) — ease and goodwill — a natural ally.

9 · Ati-mitra (great friend) — the warmest blessing — deep, lasting kinship.

Yoni (4) — instinct and body chemistry

Each nakṣatra wears an animal spirit; this asks whether the two animals are friends, indifferent, or natural prey.

Aśva (horse) — swift, proud, restless — needs movement and respect.

Gaja (elephant) — vast, gentle, dignified — slow to anger, long to remember.

Meṣa (ram/sheep) — warm, gregarious, headstrong — runs with the herd.

Sarpa (serpent) — hypnotic, secretive, regenerative — coils close, sheds skins.

Śvāna (dog) — loyal, alert, devoted — guards what it loves.

Mārjāra (cat) — self-possessed, sensual, independent — affection on its own terms.

Mūṣaka (rat) — quick, clever, resourceful — thrives in any corner.

Gau (cow) — nourishing, patient, abundant — gives and gives.

Mahiṣa (buffalo) — strong, enduring, earthbound — unstoppable once moving.

Vyāghra (tiger) — fierce, solitary, magnificent — power that prefers its own space.

Mṛga (deer) — tender, shy, beauty-loving — startles easily, runs gracefully.

Vānara (monkey) — playful, inventive, mercurial — never quite still.

Nakula (mongoose) — fearless, sharp, contrary — meets serpents head-on.

Siṃha (lion) — regal, commanding, radiant — born to be seen.

Graha-maitrī (5) — meeting of minds

Friendship between the planets that rule your two Moons — do your inner natures get along?

Natural friends — the two Moon-lords already like each other — minds meet without effort.

Neutral — polite acquaintance between the lords — no spark, no friction.

Enemies — the lords pull against each other — understanding must be earned, not assumed.

(How it's read) — each Moon sits in a sign ruled by a planet; this measures whether those two rulers are allies.

Gaṇa (6) — your temperament tribe

Three dispositions — gentle, human, intense — and how well two energies keep company.

Deva (divine) — gentle, generous, refined — light-filled and a little otherworldly.

Manuṣya (human) — balanced, ambitious, mixed — the ordinary, striving middle.

Rākṣasa (intense) — wilful, sharp, powerful — breaks rules, gets things done, unsettles the gentle.

(The match) — Deva⇄Deva and Manuṣya⇄Manuṣya flow; Deva⇄Rākṣasa is the hardest mix of temperaments.

Bhakūṭa (7) — the interval between Moons

The emotional distance between your two Moon-signs; some intervals sing, some grate.

Harmonious spacings — Moons set a sweet interval apart — emotional rhythms breathe together.

2/12 axis — one gives, one receives — subtle imbalance of resources and care.

5/9 axis — creative, fertile distance — often warm despite the textbook caution.

6/8 axis (ṣaḍāṣṭaka) — the steep interval — friction, fascination, and growth through difficulty.

Nāḍī (8) — deep constitution

The body's elemental wiring — the heaviest measure of all.

Ādi (Vāta) — air-wired: movement, nerves, ideas, restlessness.

Madhya (Pitta) — fire-wired: heat, drive, digestion, intensity.

Antya (Kapha) — earth-water-wired: substance, calm, endurance.

(Why it weighs most) — same nāḍī = same constitutional 'wiring' — traditionally discouraged for children's vitality; it carries the largest single score.

The four Network scores (Marriage 36 / Friendship 16 / Casual 4 / Spiritual 6) are different combinations of these eight.

Human Design words

Type — your energy “species” (how you’re built to engage)

The single most important piece: it sets your Strategy.

Manifestor — the initiator — built to start and inform. Impact, then peace. ~9% of people.

Generator — the life-force — built to respond and master what it loves. Satisfaction is the aim. ~37%.

Manifesting Generator — the multi-track engine — responds, then moves fast; skips steps and loops back. ~33%.

Projector — the guide — built to see and direct others, and to wait for the invitation. ~20%.

Reflector — the mirror — fully open, sampling the whole field; waits a lunar month for clarity. ~1%.

Authority — your inner yes/no compass

The part of you that actually knows, underneath the thinking.

Emotional (Solar Plexus) — no truth in the now — wait out the emotional wave; sleep on it.

Sacral — the gut's instant uh-huh / uh-uh — the body answers before the mind.

Splenic — the quiet, once-only intuition — a spontaneous knowing in the moment.

Ego / Heart — what the willpower truly wants and can promise — listen for the 'I want.'

Self-Projected (G) — truth heard in your own voice — talk it out and listen to what you say.

Mental / Environment — no inner authority — clarity comes by talking in the right place, over time.

Lunar (Reflector) — wait the full ~28-day cycle before big decisions; let the Moon round it out.

Centre — the nine energy hubs

Coloured-in = a reliable strength you broadcast; open/white = a window where you take in and amplify others (and where you learn).

Head (crown) — pressure to know — inspiration and mental questions. Open: chews on others' thoughts.

Ajña (mind) — how you think and conceptualise. Open: fluid, many viewpoints, no fixed way.

Throat — expression and manifestation — the place things become voice and action.

G / Identity — love, direction, sense of self — the magnetic centre that steers your life.

Heart / Ego — willpower, worth, the promise — drive, ego, the deal-maker. (Defined in few.)

Sacral — the engine of life-force, work, and sexuality — defined only in Generators.

Solar Plexus — emotions, moods, the wave — desire and feeling over time. A powerful open centre.

Spleen — instinct, health, survival, fear — the body's ancient alarm and well-being.

Root — pressure and adrenaline — the drive to get going and get free of stress.

Profile lines — the six roles (your character archetype)

Your profile (e.g. 1/3, 4/6) blends two of these — a conscious line and an unconscious one.

Line 1 · the Investigator — needs foundation and study — security through knowing the ground.

Line 2 · the Hermit — natural gifts called out of solitude — happiest left to flow, until summoned.

Line 3 · the Martyr — learns by trial, error and bumping into life — wisdom through resilience.

Line 4 · the Opportunist — lives through relationship and network — influence travels by friendship.

Line 5 · the Heretic — the projected saviour — called on to deliver practical solutions; carries others' hopes.

Line 6 · the Role Model — three lives — trial, then a rooftop withdrawal, then embodied wisdom after ~50.

Variables — the four arrows (the “advanced settings”)

Fine-tuning for how you best think, see, eat, and where you thrive. Each arrow points Left or Right; here is what each side means.

Mind (top-left arrow) — Left = strategic: a focused mind that sifts to essentials and self-motivates. Right = receptive: a peripheral mind that takes in the whole field and is moved by what surrounds it.

Perspective (top-right arrow) — Left = focused/active: a narrow, opportunity-seeking gaze; bores of sameness. Right = peripheral/passive: a wide, patient seeing that waits and absorbs.

Brain & Body (bottom-left arrow) — Left = active: a nervous system that thrives on movement; follow your primary health-system diet (PHS). Right = passive: a system that digests best in stillness and calm.

Environment (bottom-right arrow) — Left = active: sharpened by busy, stimulating surroundings. Right = passive: needs a relaxing, low-stimulus environment to settle and thrive.

Strategy — your correct way to say yes

The door you’re meant to use. Each Type has one correct way to engage life; using it brings the Type’s signature (peace, satisfaction, success, surprise) instead of resistance.

Manifestor — inform, then act — you’re built to initiate. Tell the people affected just before you move, and the world stops resisting you.

Generator — wait to respond — life shows up and your gut answers. Don’t initiate from the mind; respond to what appears, and your energy commits fully.

Manifesting Generator — respond, then inform — the same gut response, but once you’re lit up you move fast and skip steps; a quick word to others smooths the speed.

Projector — wait for the invitation — for the big things (love, work, where you live), wait to be seen and asked. Recognition first; then your guidance lands instead of being pushed away.

Reflector — wait a lunar cycle — sleep on the big decisions for about 28 days, talking them around with trusted people, and let clarity round out with the Moon.

Gate & Channel — the puzzle pieces that wire two people

Gates are puzzle pieces; when yours meets a matching one, a channel lights up — a wire snapping into place. There are 64 gates and 36 channels.

A Gate — a single theme sitting on the edge of one of the nine centres: a specific gift, fear or flavour you carry (e.g. Gate 34, raw power). On its own it’s half a wire, reaching for its partner.

A Channel — two matching gates join across the gap and connect two centres. That channel is now defined — a consistent, always-on trait in you (e.g. the 34–20 channel of being busy and effective in the now).

A hanging gate — a gate whose partner you don’t have. It’s an open invitation: meet someone who carries the other half and the channel completes between the two of you.

In synastry — this is the heart of attraction. Where your hanging gate finds its match in another person, a brand-new channel switches on that neither of you has alone — you literally feel more whole around them.

Electromagnetic connection — the four ways two charts wire together

The wires between you — attraction through difference. When two charts overlay, every shared channel falls into one of four kinds of connection.

Electromagnetic — each of you holds one half of the same channel. Classic magnetic attraction: you complete each other and switch the wire on together. Exciting, occasionally a love-hate charge.

Companionship — you both already have the same full channel. Easy, side-by-side recognition; you simply get each other here, like walking in step. Comfortable, sometimes unremarkable.

Dominance — one of you has the full channel, the other has neither gate. The defined person colours the open one in that theme — steadying, or overshadowing, depending on awareness.

Compromise — one has the full channel, the other only one gate of it. The trickiest wiring: a constant subtle tug where the half-person is conditioned by the whole-person. Growth lives here, but so does friction.

Definition — how joined-up your centres are

One continent vs. islands needing a bridge. Definition describes whether your defined centres form a single connected piece or several separate ones — and where you instinctively reach for others.

Single — all your defined centres connect in one unbroken piece. Self-contained and consistent; you process internally and don’t need others to feel whole.

Split — two separate islands of definition. You unconsciously seek the person or place that bridges the gap; relationships can feel like coming together. The most common after single.

Triple Split — three separate areas. Wired for variety — you bridge through many different people and busy settings, and need movement between them.

Quadruple Split — four separate areas (rare). Needs a lot of input to feel integrated, yet is also surprisingly self-sufficient, holding many distinct facets at once.

No Definition — nothing fixed (the Reflector). Fully open and sampling; you take on and mirror the whole field around you, so where and with whom you are matters most of all.

Not-Self theme — your check-engine light

A single feeling that flags you’ve drifted off your Strategy. When it shows up it’s not a failure — it’s the dashboard light telling you to return to how you’re built. Each Type has its own light, and its own aligned signal on the far side.

Generator & MG → Frustration — you’ve initiated instead of responding, or said yes to the wrong work. The signature on the other side is satisfaction.

Projector → Bitterness — you’ve pushed in without invitation or recognition, and given more than was asked. Aligned, it becomes success.

Manifestor → Anger — you’ve met resistance from acting without informing, or from being controlled. Aligned, it becomes peace.

Reflector → Disappointment — you’ve rushed a decision or been in the wrong environment. Aligned, it becomes surprise and delight.

Incarnation Cross — your life’s overarching theme in four gates

Written in four gates — your Personality Sun and Earth, and your Design Sun and Earth (the four arms of the cross). Together they sketch the deepest purpose your life is built to express. There are three geometries.

Right Angle — personal destiny — most people. Your life is about your own journey and lessons; others support it, but the path is inward and self-directed.

Left Angle — transpersonal karma — your life is interwoven with others; fated meetings and relationships carry your purpose, and your direction shifts through the people you encounter.

Juxtaposition — a fixed fate — rare; a single, intensely specific purpose held between the personal and transpersonal, run by one fixed way of being.

(The four quarters) — every cross also falls in one quarter of the wheel — Initiation (mind & purpose), Civilization (form & expression), Duality (bonds & relationship), or Mutation (transformation & the body) — naming the field your theme plays out in.

The 36 channels — every wire, and what it does

A channel forms when both its gates are lit (in one chart, or across two people). Each is a consistent, always-on current between two centres — the same text that pops up when you hover a channel name in your report.

The eleven Spheres — positions on your personal map

The Gene Keys plot your gates onto eleven spheres of life; the decimal after a key (e.g. 34.5) is the exact line within it.

Life's Work — your outer calling — how your genius shows up in the world (the Personality Sun).

Evolution — the core challenge your life is built to grow through (the Personality Earth).

Radiance — the health and vitality that shines when you're aligned (the Design Sun).

Purpose — the deep fuel beneath it all — your reason for being (the Design Earth).

Attraction — what magnetises love and relationship toward you.

IQ — your way of intelligent action under pressure.

EQ — the emotional intelligence learned through relationship.

SQ — the spiritual intelligence that ripens last.

Vocation — the work and service your gifts are meant to render.

Culture — the community and field your life contributes to.

Pearl — the simple prosperity that comes when the sequence integrates.

Western (tropical) astrology

The same planets read against the seasons rather than the stars (the tropical zodiac). It adds the angles and points below, the aspects between the two charts, and whose planets fall in whose houses.

Aspects — the angles between two planets

How far apart two points sit on the wheel — the geometry of how they talk. The 'orb' is how close to exact it is; tighter = stronger.

Conjunction (0°) — same spot: two forces fused into one, for better or worse.

Opposition (180°) — face to face: a tug-of-war that seeks balance between two poles.

Trine (120°) — easy flow: a natural gift, harmony that asks nothing.

Square (90°) — friction: the productive grind that forces growth and action.

Sextile (60°) — opportunity: an open door that works if you walk through it.

Angles & points — the sensitive spots beyond the planets

Set by the exact birth time and place — the personal scaffolding of the chart.

Ascendant (rising) — the sign on the eastern horizon at birth: your outward manner and first impression.

Midheaven (MC) — the top of the chart: vocation, public role, what you're aimed at.

Descendant — opposite the Ascendant: the partner and the 'other'.

Vertex — a fated western point, often felt as destined encounters and turning points.

Part of Fortune — an Arabic point (Ascendant + Moon − Sun) marking ease, flow and well-being.

Lilith (Black Moon) — the Moon's far orbital point: the wild, untamed, unapologetic self.

The planets — what each one carries

The same bodies as the Vedic chart, read here in the tropical zodiac.

Sun ☉ — the core self: vitality, will, ego and life-purpose.

Moon ☽ — the emotional self: needs, moods, instinct and what makes you feel safe.

Mercury ☿ — the mind and voice: thinking, learning, speaking and connecting.

Venus ♀ — love, beauty and value: how you attract, relate and enjoy.

Mars ♂ — drive and desire: how you act, assert and fight.

Jupiter ♃ — growth and faith: where you expand, trust and find meaning.

Saturn ♄ — structure and time: limits, duty and the slow ripening of mastery.

Uranus ♅ — the awakener: sudden change, freedom and breaking the mould.

Neptune ♆ — the dissolver: dreams, compassion, illusion and the mystical.

Pluto ♇ — the transformer: power, depth and death-and-rebirth.

The twelve houses — the areas of life

Where a planet's energy plays out in life (quadrant houses in the Western reading).

1st · Self — body, appearance, the way you meet the world.

2nd · Resources — money, possessions, values, self-worth.

3rd · Mind — communication, siblings, learning, the near environment.

4th · Home — family, roots, the private self and foundation.

5th · Creativity — romance, children, play, self-expression.

6th · Work — daily routine, service, health, craft.

7th · Partnership — marriage, close relationships, the 'other'.

8th · Depth — intimacy, shared resources, transformation, the hidden.

9th · Meaning — travel, philosophy, higher learning, the far horizon.

10th · Vocation — career, status, public role (the Midheaven).

11th · Community — friends, networks, hopes, the collective.

12th · Retreat — solitude, the unconscious, endings, the beyond.

Chinese BaZi — the Four Pillars

The Four Pillars — year, month, day and hour

Your birth moment as four columns, each a Heavenly Stem (element) over an Earthly Branch (animal). Together they read your elemental make-up.

Day Master — the Day stem: the element that is you, the self the whole chart circles.

Heavenly Stem — one of ten yin/yang element markers atop each pillar.

Earthly Branch — one of the twelve animal signs beneath each pillar (Rat, Ox, Tiger…).

Hour & Year pillars — the hour colours the private self; the year, the outer and ancestral face.

Wu Xing — the five elements

Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water — they feed one another round a circle and check one another across it. Compatibility asks whose element nourishes or controls whose.

Wood — growth, vision, benevolence — the sprouting tree.

Fire — passion, expression, warmth — the rising flame.

Earth — stability, nourishment, trust — the holding ground.

Metal — clarity, structure, refinement — the forged blade.

Water — depth, wisdom, adaptability — the flowing stream.

(Generating & controlling) — each element feeds the next around the circle and checks the one across it; harmony is where one chart supplies what the other lacks.

Galactic Astrology — your connection to the stars

Beyond the planets lie the fixed stars and the great deep-space points. Where a chart point sits on one, it picks up that star's ancient, specific note. The report lists every contact per point, grouped by constellation, and the stars two charts share.

The deep-space anchors — the largest tides in the chart

Not stars but vast structures our whole galaxy moves toward — the biggest-scale pulls a birth chart can register.

Galactic Centre (~27° Sagittarius) — the heart of our galaxy: a source-point of ambition, a larger will downloading through you.

Great Attractor — a gravity anomaly pulling whole galaxies: an unseen, magnetic sense of destiny.

Super-Galactic Centre (~2° Libra) — the hub of our local supercluster: a very large-scale organising point.

Shapley Attractor — a colossal distant mass: the deepest, most far-reaching pull of all.

The fixed stars — every named star, and its old meaning

The full set of named fixed stars the report reads, precession-corrected to your birth. A bright star carries a wide orb, a faint one a tight orb. Here is the keynote each brings to a planet it touches — the same text that pops up when you hover a star name in your report.

Achernar — Alpha Eridani, the star at the very 'end of the River' Eridanus. A long flow that reaches completion; faith, success and a sense of things carried all the way through to their end.

Acrux — Alpha Crucis, the brightest star of the Southern Cross. A searching, quasi-religious devotion and deep intuition — a longing to understand the mystery of things, and justice pursued with almost priestly seriousness.

Ain — Epsilon Tauri, the Bull's northern 'eye' in the Hyades. The tears and passion of the Hyades — intense feeling seeking an outlet.

Aladfar — Eta Lyrae, a fainter star of the Lyre. The harp's charm sounded in a quieter key — a gentle artistic or romantic note.

Alcyone — Eta Tauri, the brightest of the Pleiades, 'the central one'. Strong feeling, vision and eminence — but also a note of sorrow, judgement, and something to be seen clearly.

Aldebaran — Alpha Tauri, the fiery red eye of the Bull and a Royal Star (Watcher of the East). Integrity, courage and eloquence bring honour and success — again conditional: the reward endures only while you keep your integrity intact.

Algol — Beta Persei, the 'Demon Star' — the blinking eye of Medusa held in Perseus' hand, the most notorious star in the sky. It marks raw, concentrated intensity and passion; owned and channelled it is immense power, denied it can turn to loss — a force to face, not fear.

Algorab — Delta Corvi, in the Raven. A scavenger's cunning — sharpness, enterprise and resourcefulness, with a shadow note of destructiveness to watch.

Alkes — Alpha Crateris, the base of the Cup. A vessel of feeling — receptivity, psychic sensitivity and a quiet holding of emotion.

Almach — Gamma Andromedae, a beautiful multiple star at Andromeda's foot. Honour, artistic talent and popularity — an easy, fortunate, well-liked quality.

Alnilam — Epsilon Orionis, the bright central star of Orion's Belt. Public honour and a moment of fame or notoriety — a swift, brilliant recognition that tends to be fleeting rather than lasting.

Alnitak — Zeta Orionis, the eastern star of Orion's Belt. Drive and endurance — a hard-won, martial success earned through effort.

Alphard — Alpha Hydrae, the solitary red 'heart of the Water-Snake'. Deep, intense feeling and passion — great emotional power that must be governed, lest it overflow into drama or excess.

Alpheratz — Alpha Andromedae, shared with Pegasus' wing. Freedom, independence and quick, restless movement — popularity and honour won by initiative.

Altair — Alpha Aquilae, the swift Eagle. Bold, sudden confidence and daring ambition — a fearless, decisive drive that seizes the moment, with a caution against acting too hastily.

Antares — Alpha Scorpii, the red 'heart of the Scorpion' and a Royal Star (Watcher of the West). A warrior's intensity, obsession and fearless drive; power that can heal or destroy, and headstrong passion that must be mastered rather than obeyed.

Arcturus — Alpha Boötis, the bright golden 'bear-keeper' who drives the Great Bear. A pathfinder's star: prosperity and renown won by forging a fresh, self-made direction rather than following the trodden road.

Bellatrix — Gamma Orionis, the 'female warrior' at Orion's other shoulder. Quick success and a sharp, forceful, strategic intelligence — a keen, sometimes combative mind that wins by decisiveness.

Betelgeuse — Alpha Orionis, the red shoulder of Orion. Martial honour, resilience and enduring achievement — success that is earned and holds, with a strong protective, warrior quality.

Capella — Alpha Aurigae, the 'little she-goat' held by the Charioteer. A curious, learned, restless and inquisitive mind — love of study, freedom and novelty, sometimes at the cost of settling down.

Cor Caroli — Alpha Canum Venaticorum, 'the Heart of Charles'. A warm, well-meaning, generous heart — affectionate, though easily impressed upon.

Deneb — Alpha Cygni, the tail of the Swan (Deneb Adige) — a distant, luminous supergiant. A star of the poet and the inner life: creative brilliance, idealism and a gift for beauty and the imagination.

Electra — One of the Pleiades, a 'weeping sister'. Sensitivity, vision and imagination, carrying a soft note of sorrow or the mystical.

Etamin — Gamma Draconis (Eltanin), the fierce head of the Dragon. A keen, penetrating, sometimes ruthless focus — the dragon's unblinking eye.

Fomalhaut — Alpha Piscis Austrini, the 'mouth of the Southern Fish' and the fourth Royal Star (Watcher of the South). Idealism, mysticism and magic — its gift is exalted so long as it stays clean of illusion, addiction and self-deception.

Hadar — Beta Centauri (Agena), a brilliant blue star in the Centaur — with nearby Alpha Centauri, the untamed teacher-healer. Refinement, position and honour, carrying a wild, instinctive, half-animal power beneath the polish.

Hyadum II — Delta Tauri, in the Hyades cluster of the Bull's face. The 'rainy' stars — strong feeling and fertility, sometimes tears and turbulence.

Izar — Epsilon Boötis ('Pulcherrima', the loveliest). Grace and beauty found in partnership — refinement and honour won through relationship.

Markab — Alpha Pegasi, a star in the Winged Horse's wing/saddle. Steadiness, stamina and enterprise under pressure — energy that carries a venture through, with a caution against recklessness and haste.

Meissa — Lambda Orionis, the faint 'head' of Orion. A bright but sometimes conflicted mind — leadership and drive shadowed by restlessness.

Mintaka — Delta Orionis, the first star of Orion's Belt. Good fortune and a sense of balance, with a note of caution — luck that rewards a steady hand.

Nihal — Beta Leporis, in the Hare beneath Orion. Swiftness and timidity — a quick, sensitive, fleet-footed nature.

Polaris — Alpha Ursae Minoris, the Pole Star that marks true north. Steady guidance and a single clear point to steer by — direction, constancy and the ability to hold a course through any storm.

Procyon — Alpha Canis Minoris, the 'lesser dog' that rises before Sirius. Quick rise, drive and sudden opportunity — brilliant beginnings that reward steady follow-through and can fade if not sustained.

Rasalhague — Alpha Ophiuchi, the head of the Serpent-Bearer. A healer's star — wisdom about poison and cure, and a clear eye for human weakness and misfortune.

Regulus — Alpha Leonis, the 'little king' and one of the four Royal Stars, at the Lion's heart. It confers leadership, courage and honour — but classically with a warning: the fall from grace comes through revenge, so its gift holds only if you refuse vengeance.

Rigel — Beta Orionis, the brilliant blue-white foot of Orion the Hunter. It brings teaching, ambition and bright, lasting success through knowledge and the sharing of it — a benevolent, honour-bringing star.

Rigil Kent — Alpha Centauri (Rigil Kentaurus/Toliman), our nearest bright neighbour, in the Centaur. Refinement, friendship and self-analysis — position and honour won through relationship (paired with Hadar).

Saiph — Kappa Orionis, at Orion's knee. Raw energy that must be disciplined; struggle and effort turned, in time, into real strength.

Scheat — Beta Pegasi, in the leg of Pegasus. Imagination and original, unconventional thinking — great creativity that asks real care around risk, water and over-reaching.

Sheliak — Beta Lyrae, the Lyre's variable star. Artistry and charm in a changeable key — creativity that ebbs and flows.

Sirius — Alpha Canis Majoris, the brightest star in the whole sky (the 'Scorcher'). It brings brilliance, ambition, honour and a spark of the sacred — great, far-reaching success, so long as it stays humble and its fire doesn't consume.

Spica — Alpha Virginis, the sheaf of wheat in the Virgin's hand — one of the most fortunate stars. It gives a pure, almost unearned gift: brilliance, artistic or scientific talent, and unexpected grace and good fortune.

Sulaphat — Gamma Lyrae, the shell of the Lyre. Steady musical and artistic grace — a firmer, more grounded note of the harp.

Syrma — Iota Virginis, the 'train' of the Virgin's robe. A quiet, discerning, service-minded quality — refinement expressed through care.

Taygeta — One of the Pleiades. Idealism and refinement, with the Pleiadic tenderness — deep sensitivity that feels the world keenly.

Vega — Alpha Lyrae, the brilliant blue star of the Lyre (Orpheus' harp). Charisma, artistry and refined, almost magical charm; a gift for music, poetry and enchanting others, that thrives on grace rather than pride.

Every report closes with its method: sidereal zodiac, Lahiri (Chitrapakṣa) ayanāṃśa, Whole-Sign houses, Vimśottarī daśā, mean nodes — and all three systems are read from the same birth moment.
